Today I want to share just a few of my favorite baby items that we’ve come to love the last few months. If you added up all the time I’ve spent researching what to buy, it probably accounts for days of my life. Entering the world of motherhood is so overwhelming for a million reasons.Your hormones are raging, people are giving you advice left-right-and-center, and you feel like every little decision you make to purchase something for your unborn baby could have serious consequences.
“What if I buy the wrong stroller? It could stunt her development, and she may not crawl/walk soon enough. If I don’t get the right pacifiers, her teeth will grow in wrong and she’ll get made fun of in grade school. I better find the best cause and effect toys to help her cognition, because if I don’t she may never go to college and her life will be ruined!!!” All of these thoughts run through the back of your mind. And it’s ridiculous. (Rest assured that the baby’s grandparents will be the first to let you know that your fears are a bit dramatic. “You turned out just fine,” is a response you’ll hear often.)
Let me apologize to anyone who is not in baby mode and dreads that this post is the beginning of this becoming a baby blog. It is not. However, I do like to share what’s going on in my life, and currently I’m smack dab in the middle of baby phase. Perhaps you know someone who is pregnant. Send her a link to this post; I guarantee she’ll thank you because she’s most likely stressing out this very instant over what to buy for her little one. Who knows, she might be so grateful that she names the baby after you.
Mamas & Papas URBO Stroller: It is so light, easy to fold down, and fits easily into our compact cars. It glides and turns effortlessly . Stu calls it the Apple version of a stroller. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
