Our lives got so much sweeter this week. After a long wait, baby Gemma finally joined our family Thursday evening. Despite a pretty terrible delivery experience with several unexpected turns, she was born completely healthy and as perfect as could be. Stu and I are so surprised how this little human who we just met has become our obsession in a matter of days. People told me I would love her more than anything, but I couldn’t really imagine it until I brought her home. Once everything has sunk in, I’m sure I’ll have a lot to share about our first days together.
It may be a bit quiet around the blog for a while…There is cuddling and cheek kissing to do, and I want to soak up every minute.
Yay! Congrats on the little cutie! She’s adorable. Now go take a nap!! -Jen
Congratulations! She is precious! Enjoy the sweet newborn cuddles! Get some rest Mama!
Congratulations – she is too cute. Life will be quiet then majorly busy!!! Enjoy every second, although you had a few bumbs in the road, the main thing is that you and beautiful bubs are doing well. Plenty of rest and stay hydrated!!!

How wonderful! I get teary eyed just looking at your little girl! Makes me think of the beautiful arrival of my son last fall and what a rollercoaster it can be 🙂 Take care of yourself and make sure your hubby does lots for you. Those first few weeks are such a transition but oh so worth it!!

She is just beautiful! And you are looking amazing postpartum 🙂 My “little girl” was 9.9 and born a week before her due date…I can’t imagine if she had baked longer! I hope you are feeling well, I know a rough delivery can wreck havoc on your body. Best wishes to you all!
THANK YOU SO MUCH LADIES!!! It made me so happy reading all of your comments. More pics coming soon:)
Just found your blog via Houzz. 🙂
Your beautiful girl brought tears to my eyes! My own baby girl is already 10 months old (and my gorgeous boy, almost 13 years! *weep!*) and it breaks my heart how quickly the time flies. I know — I KNOW!!! — you’re exhausted and probably feel beat to hell, but try to relish these fleeting moments!
As if you needed more praise, you look absolutely fabulous, mama!
p.s. Both of our kids were 9+ lbs and had tons of hair, I think that’s what got me crying over Gemma! LOL!
Congratulations! Baby Gemma is absolutely beautiful!, and you look like you are doing well! Hang in there in these coming days… newborn days, for me, where more rough than I expected, but so very worthwhile. 🙂
Congratulations to you both! What a beautiful girl! So sorry about the delivery, I hope you are recovering well. It takes awhile, and it’s hard to be patient with your body, but you have a sweet baby to help distract you now. Love that picture!
Congratulations to you two what a blessing she is beautiful. You are in for the best times of your life.
