I’d like to introduce you to the newest addition to our living room. These are the first nesting tables I’ve purchased. Growing up, we had a set of Chinoiserie nesting tables in our living room. I always loved them. I somehow got the idea that if the three little bears ever had tables, they would be nesting tables. (Makes perfect sense to an 8 year old.) I would pull apart the pieces and pretend to be Goldilocks, scooting the smallest table up to my lap knowing it was “just right.”
This acrylic set from Wayfair is “just right” for our family in this stage of life. It replaced a sharp cornered table that was the antithesis of kid friendly. Acrylic wasn’t what I had in mind when I started looking for nesting tables, but they are the perfect solution for the space. I wanted something that felt formal but not fussy. Why do I love them so much? Let me count the ways…
Reasons Why I Love My Acrylic Nesting Tables
Like for real toddler proof, people. Gemma has hit, knocked over, run into, spilled milk on, and utterly abused these little tables in the few short weeks we’ve had them. They are still standing. And all the momma’s said, “Give me some of those.”
02. They make a subtle statement.
These tables are stylish without drawing attention to themselves. They are like the girl in high school who was pretty yet shy, and you couldn’t help but stare and wonder how she glided along so effortlessly. (I just can’t help the furniture personification.)
04. They are low maintenance.
Nuff’ said.
Just to clear up any confusion, acrylic and lucite furniture are actually one and the same. The term lucite just refers to a brand name of acrylic or plexiglass used in furniture. Recently I’ve become a little obsessed with how it instantly adds elegance to a room. Lucite furniture goes with any color scheme and can be mixed into so many different styles of decorating. I rounded up a few of my favorite pieces. You’d be surprised how reasonably priced most of these items are.

Your anecdote of nesting tables and goldilocks is beyond adorable. No doubt Gemma will have the same thought when she’s a bit older 😉

Ive been eyeing these babies on cb2 for months! I didnt even know Wayfair carried them..definitely gonna check it out. Another advantage of acrylic furniture pieces is they are awesome for small space dwellers. They take up very little physical or visual space. I love it because Im a lover of dark walls, and acrylic pieces really help balance that. Cant wait to incorporate some into my spaces. The Louis chairs are SO happening in my dining room:)
Heather says
Amen to all of that! As soon as I saw them, I snatched them up. Such a great buy. The Louis chairs…don’t even talk to me or I’ll get jealous.

Hi Heather,
I make custom work out of lucite. I specialize in custom lucite legs. They are great to attach to a sofa, bed, dinning table, etc.

Hi Heather,
This is a great post. I love the photos you’ve taken. Actually, I took photos of a lot of lucite products. They look either too dark or with many reflections. Hope to hear some tips from you?
