What a better way to celebrate this week than a post about a gorgeous farmhouse wedding? This fall I had the privilege of helping my very talented friend Laura by “second shooting” a beautiful wedding in rural Missouri. I used quotations because really I should have been called the “lens changer” or the “light holder”. I am still honing my photography skills, and shooting moving people (or people in general) in such a setting is far beyond my scope of ability or comfort.
Still, it was a gorgeous day for the bride and groom, and I loved being behind the scenes from start to finish. I’ll try not to say too much because I think the pictures do a great job of telling the day’s story.

What a dream wedding – I love every inch of it! Especially the cow in the background as they said their vows. Beautifully done.
The cow was my favorite part!
Charming is right—Absolutely freaking BEAUTIFUL. Loved every little detail–even the cow! Gorgeous. Thank you for posting. Makes me wanna go renew my vows and do it all over again. So so fun.
Yeah, we got married before Pinterest. There’s a lot I’d do different now! Vow renewal is a good idea.
Oh my goodness, I just love all the details of this wedding! I’ve been married almost 40 years and back then weddings were, dare I say it, boring. Haha! One of the things I liked best about ours was that the bridesmaid dresses were pink velvet (yes, velvet). Haven’t seen that for a long while. Maybe for our 40th we’ll have a party with some of these gorgeous ideas!
Hey, pink velvet could be coming back! Thanks for stopping by, Barbara.
This is a gorgeous wedding! The most amazing moment of my own wedding day {besides the first time I got to see my husband for the first time of course;) } was turning the corner to walk down the aisle with my dad — seeing everyone looking at us so supportive and happy was the most amazing moment and one I will never forget.
Thanks for sharing, Heather! Sounds like a beautiful day.
